Luisito Quintero, born in Caracas, Venezuela, was immersed in music from a young age. Growing up in a home filled with the rich rhythms of Afro-Venezuelan culture, he was mentored by his father, a respected percussionist, who nurtured his talent on the timbales throughout his youth. Luisito’s musical journey continued as he honed his skills at the Orquesta Simfónica de Venezuela, where his technique quickly gained recognition among his peers. He soon became a member of renowned ensembles such as Grupo Guaco and El Trabuco Venezolano, and toured extensively with Oscar D’León, gaining global exposure.

Luisito’s impressive career includes countless live performances, recordings, and collaborations. His unique percussion style has led him to work with legendary artists such as Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Richard Bona, Jack DeJohnette, Willie Colón, George Benson, Natalie Cole, Herbie Hancock, Nuyorican Soul, and Masters at Work, among many others.
