The New York Nightingales are a vocal trio of vintage harmony songbirds specializing in swing and jazz standards from the Great American Songbook and reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters and the Boswell Sisters. Their arrangements include both well-known favorites and forgotten gems with unique stylings you will not find elsewhere.
Established in 2015 by original member and producer Jennifer Mergele, their current, all-female line-up features intricate harmonies from vocalists Brianna Barnhart, Katy Lombardi, and Natasha Bergman and improvisations from pianist Julia Chen and bassist Tina Lama. The Nightingales perform in and around New York City, most recently at The Intrepid, the Marriott, and 1 Hotel. You may even catch them in the subway on your commute, as they are members of the MTA Music Program!
