Adam Wooten Trio

Description

The Adam Wooten Trio is an energetic, funky, and wildly entertaining group guaranteed to make everyone in earshot dance, smile, and sing along. With roots in jazz, funk, R&B, and blues, their eclectic style keeps audiences on their toes from the first note to the last. Adam is a drummer, vocalist, composer, and educator from Nashville, Tennessee who sings and plays drums simultaneously, inspired to blend the soul of James Brown and the rhythmic mastery of Tony Williams. The result is an unforgettable fusion of groove and melody. Completing the trio are guitar virtuoso Ian Eylanbekov and bass powerhouse Ben Wood, whose chemistry creates an explosive live sound.

Music runs deep in Adam’s blood. Growing up playing alongside his father, Victor Wooten, and uncles Regi, Roy, Rudy, and Joseph Wooten, he absorbed the family’s rich musical heritage from an early age. By ten years old, Adam was already touring the world, performing with legends such as Tommy Emmanuel, Muriel Anderson, John Patitucci, Tracy Silverman, Lari White, and Leigh Nash (of Sixpence None the Richer).
