Drummer/composer Ikuo Takeuchi, was born in Kobe, Japan, and has been living in New York City since 1988. He has been regularly performing in New York city and touring in Europe and Japan. With his imaginative and spirited drumming, he has been hired by such jazz luminaries as Ron McClure, Cecil McBee, William Parker, Richie Beirach, Eddie Henderson and George Gazone.
