Description

Joe Taino started his musical career around 1966 at the age of 11. Playing rock in house parties and school dances. After graduating from high school, he joined the AFM in Puerto Rico and began playing clubs and the Navy bases all over the island. By the late 70’s, being already a seasoned musician, he shared stages with many international acts such as: Tito Puente, Carlos Santana, Eddie Palmieri, Fania Allstars, Peter Frampton, Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Judas Priest, Johnny Winter, Greg Allman, Etta James, Koko Taylor just to name a few. He toured Europe, Japan and South America in many occasions and played all of the top blues clubs in NY and NJ for many years. Joe was inducted in the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2013.
