“Miss Maybell & Her Ragged Jazz Band are a NYC based band playing a large repertoire of early Jazz and Blues from the 1910’s – 30’s. They source their repertoire from dusty old 78rpm records and antique sheet music and give new life to songs created over 100 years ago! With this unique sound and dedication they were recently featured on The NPR Show “Person, Place, Thing” With Randy Cohen and packed a sold out show at Birdland Theater! The group is composed of some of NYC’s best Vintage Jazz players. Such as is Charlie Judkins on piano, Brian Nalepka on bass andTuba, Dan Levinson on Clarinet and Saxophone & Miss Maybell on Voice, Washboard, Banjo and Guitar.”
