Strange Majik

Description

Strange Majik is the creative alter ego of David Pattillo, a multi-talented musician, songwriter, and producer based in New York City. Known for his eclectic blend of edgy rock, blues, soul and funk, Pattillo has earned a reputation for his dynamic live performances and incendiary guitar. With over 100 published songs and a lengthy credit list, David Pattillo has a history in the music scene. He has written and produced songs for Motown/Universal producer Linda Perry and The Berman Brothers, co-written with Nashville music row coterie, co-produced the “Live From The Artists Den” series on PBS (for which he was nominated for an Emmy), hosted a radio show on Amazing Radio UK, and paid his dues working with a long list of artists from Public Enemy, Sonic Youth, Moby and Beastie Boys in the NYC studio scene. 

He has toured throughout the US, UK and Europe and has been featured in Goldmine Magazine, Shindig Magazine, Record Collector Magazine, Creem Magazine, The Deli Magazine, and blogs and podcasts. His songs have been licensed by international sports brands, TV shows and films. He continues producing up and coming artists in his NYC downtown studio, and in 2024 released his own LP “NYC Animal” on vinyl and digital everywhere.
