The Grove Street Stompers have been performing Dixieland and traditional jazz every Monday night at Arthur’s Tavern since 1962.

New Moon Acoustic Blues is a high energy traditional blues outfit led by guitarist and singer Karl Schwarz. Joining Karl on stage will be harmonica player David A Barnes of James Blood Ulmer's Memphis Blood, and guitarist Jack O'Hara who's many credits include BB King and Lightning Hopkins.

His mother is renowned Trova singer Xiomara Laugart and his father is folk singer-guitarist Alberto Tosca. Introduced to guitar at age four, Tosca was also playing piano by age seven and soon joined his parents on-stage playing his first show at Casa de las Americas.

Fred Thomas occupies a very special niche in the history R&B. As James Brown’s principal bassist since 1971 (the“Make if Funky” era), he participated in one the most prolific periods in the Godfather of Soul’s incredible career as a member of Brown’s band, the J.B.'s.

Yuichi Hirakawa Jazz Group first appeared at Arthur’s Tavern in September 2001 and held its stage every Tuesday evening until March 2020. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, his group came back and now appears frequently at this reopened club. The band plays straight ahead jazz covering latin jazz, blues, and R&B.

Guitarist and vocalist, Junior Mack, picked up a guitar and taught himself to play at the age of nine. His soulful style is rooted in gospel and blues.
