At 17 he was awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music. Since graduating in 2015, he has released two albums as a leader and performed at famous venues in NYC as well as a US tour.
Luisito Quintero, born in Caracas, Venezuela, was immersed in music from a young age. Growing up in a home filled with the rich rhythms of Afro-Venezuelan culture, he was mentored by his father, a respected percussionist, who nurtured his talent on the timbales throughout his youth. Luisito’s musical journey continued as he honed his skills at the Orquesta Simfónica de Venezuela, where his technique quickly gained recognition among his peers.
